The offensive line group comes down to Tommy Doyle’s readiness after his torn ACL last September, how well Broeker adapts in his first training camp and preseason and the two veteran players, Quessenberry and Ike Boettger, whose roster spots could depend on it. The top six are all locks, and the Bills committed a lot of guaranteed money to Edwards ($1.72 million), which likely makes him a good bet for the team. Where Dalton Kincaid could thrive and struggle in the Bills' offenseĭion Dawkins, Connor McGovern, Mitch Morse, O’Cyrus Torrence, Spencer Brown, Ryan Bates, David Edwards, David Quessenberry, Nick Broeker Shakir, Harty and Sherfield can play outside in the Diggs role if needed, and Sherfield and Shorter can both fill in for Davis should he miss time. Shakir and Harty will compete to be the slot receiver in a more traditional 11-personnel look, but they could concede a lot of those snaps to first-round pick and tight end Dalton Kincaid. Diggs and Davis will be the starters once again, but the rest of the group bears watching. Once the Bills selected Shorter in the fifth round, it solidified this group as the six receivers for the 53-man roster. Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, Deonte Harty, Khalil Shakir, Trent Sherfield, Justin Shorter Unless he takes to the offense this summer, Hines will likely be a kickoff and punt returner specialist with offensive snaps sprinkled in. The substantial guaranteed money for both Harris ($1.4 million) and Murray ($802,500) suggests it could even be a competition between the two power backs to see who the complementary rusher will be. But it could be more than that for Murray. The only question at running back is if they carry four on the active roster, but with Harris’ injury history, they’ll need someone to provide a similar between-the-tackles power rushing skill set as a backup.
